Kavanaugh Stop:

A "Kavanaugh Stop" is a warrantless detention or stop of a person because they are suspected of being unlawfully present in the United States, where the suspicion is at least partly based on race, ethnicity, language, accent, or other proxies tied to appearance or background. This is commonly referred to as "racial profiling."

It is named in honor of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, whose concurrence in Noem v. Vasquez Perdomo highlighted that race and ethnicity could be a "relevant factor" in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detaining someone.
